This is DITBuddy, an open source free piece of software designed to quickly do all the painfully repetitive things you need to do when working as a DIT. Spend less time doing copy and paste, do more grading !
It offers some key features like :
- Syncing clips, audio files and metadata from Silverstack to DaVinci Resolve,
- Quickly operate some basic video rendering, such as converting anything to H264 1080p, or putting a batch of video files into one file, head to tail, to quickly convert and edit your dailies without having to render from your grading software,
- The compiling of a “continuity PDF”, featuring key stills for each sequence and shot, to be shared with your DP, director or script supervisor!

Today is the release of the very first version of DITBuddy, like a beta of some sort. Feel free to use it, and I would be glad to hear about your experience!
